Applications were received at the beginning of 2020 for the recruitment of 600 Assistant Engineer, 1,300 Accountant, 500 Junior Assistant (Accounts) and 2,900 Field Assistant posts in Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.
In this context, the exam was postponed due to reasons including the Corona shutdown and assembly elections. Later, the Electricity Board announced the cancellation of this exam last July.
In this case, the power board has decided to select 10,200 people to carry out field work including pole planting and cable laying. Permission has been sought from the government for this. Power board officials said that once the approval is given, steps will be taken to select the eligible persons through TNPSC.
